The History and Growth of Bandar Dato Onn, Johor Bahru
Bandar Dato Onn is a suburb at Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. The district is named after the late Dato’ Onn bin Jaafar. The latter was a Malaysian politician and Chief Minister of Johore in Malaysia, and later in Malaya.
The suburb has been growing significantly since its launch. After completion, it will have 19 neighbourhoods and a capacity to accommodate more than 90000 individuals. It has 17,800 properties which are approximated to be worth RM3.58 billion.
For transportation, they have the Dato’ Onn Interchange that was officially launched by Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Idris Dato’Onn. The Interchange will help occupants to easily access the Iskandar Development Region and enjoy uninterrupted access to the North-South Expressway.
The concept of developing Bandar Dato Onn has been designed to fit both residential and commercial property. There are also recreational parks and public utilities. Additionally, there are beautiful driveways where visitors and occupants can relax.
Small towns will be developed around the area in a total of 19 acres. Each area will have a playground for kids and garden landscapes. The project is speculated to happen in 10-15 years. It will have 17,800 properties and is expected to have gross sales worth RM3.58 billion, and a projected gross profit of RM920 million.
